The Spurs fall 106-104 to the Magic in Orlando

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Saturday 10 February 2007 at 2:02 am

The Spurs didn’t play any defense as they allowed the Magic to hit 54.5% from the floor and a thunderous dunk by Dwight Howard at the very end of the game!  Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 24 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists.  Brent Barry added 21 points as he was 4 of 6 on three pointers.

The Spurs fell to 33-17 on the season with this loss.  http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270209019

Oh, the spurs need to learn to be able to power finish
when a game is even score at the end. That’s why i
always wished the spurs would have a “Dunker” that’s
extremely fast. I thought Elson could do it but i haven’t seen much of it.
Beeing a spurs fan living in miami i get to see my favorite team only once a year. Last year they won here.
Tomorrow, Febr. 11th against the Heat, i will be there
watching my spurs with all my support and wish to see
them win, they deserve it. Best tip, do not let it be a close game at the end, do a cushion. Best luck, Lemon

The Spurs really don’t have an explosive big man. Duncan is a great player but I don’t think he could do what Dwight Howard did last night.
That being said, the Spurs have a great, deep veteran team and they will be fine come playoff time.
