The Spurs were outscored 25-19 in the 4th quarter which cost them the game on Tuesday Night. Manu Ginobili started this game and he led the Spurs with 29 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Tim Duncan was also outstanding as he finished with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists. Fabricio Oberto pitched in with 12 points and 7 rebounds. The Spurs are now 28-16 on the season.

Utah Jazz 97, San Antonio Spurs 91

The Jazz shot 50% from the floor on Monday Night and that helped do the Spurs in. Manu Ginobili led the way for the Spurs on Monday Night with 29 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Tim Duncan was tough near the basket with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists. Ime Udoka was solid off of the bench with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. The Spurs are now 28-15 on the season.

The San Antonio Spurs lose Brent Barry

The Spurs will be without reserve guard Brent Barry for the next 3-4 weeks with a strained left calf. Barry has played in 29 games (1 start) this season and he is averaging 18.7 minutes, 7.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Barry is a deadeye shooter as he has hit 48.1% of his shots from the floor, 43.0% of his three point attempts and 95.0% of his free throws. Ime Udoka will probably pick up Barry’s old minutes while he is out. Udoka has played in 35 games (0 starts) this year for the Spurs and he is averaging 13.5 minutes, 4.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.

The Spurs were outscored 60-35 in the 2nd half last night and they were outrebounded 41-32 which were the big reasons for the beating they took at home. Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Tony Parker also had a decent game with 17 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists. Ime Udoka was outstanding off of the bench with 13 points and 7 rebounds in only 24 minutes. The Spurs fell to 28-14 on the season with this loss.

The Spurs had to rally in the 4th quarter outscoring the Heat 25-17 to win the game last night in Miami. Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 30 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Manu Ginobili was all over the place last night as he finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals. The Spurs improved to 28-13 on the season with this win.

The Spurs had too much firepower for the Lakers on Wednesday Night. Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 28 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocked shots. Ike Udoka was outstanding off of the bench with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Tony Parker did a solid job of directing the Spurs offensive attack with 16 points, 4 assists and 2 steals. The Spurs improved to 27-13 on the season with this win.

The Spurs weren’t their sharpest yesterday but they were good enough to win in Charlotte. Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 19 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 blocked shots. Tony Parker had a so-so game with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Manu Ginobili had a solid game off the bench with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. The Spurs improved to 26-13 on the season with this win.

Houston Rockets 83, San Antonio Spurs 81

The Spurs played outstanding defense as they held the Rockets to 38.2% shooting from the floor but the Rockets won the game anyways. Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 24 points, 17 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Manu Ginobili had a good game off of the bench with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Tony Parker pitched in with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. The Spurs fell to 25-13 on the season with this loss.

Brent Barry is playing at a high level for the San Antonio Spurs

Brent Barry has been shooting outstanding so far this season as he has been a huge asset off the bench for the Spurs.  Barry is shooting 50% from the floor, 45.3% from three point range and 93.8% from the free throw line.  Barry has now played in 24 games this season for the Spurs and he is averaging 19.2 minutes, 7.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.  Look for Barry to continue to play well as Coach Popovich has been using him right.

The San Antonio Spurs release rookie guard Darius Washington

The Spurs have released rookie point guard Darius Washington and they have signed veteran DerMarr Johnson. Washington played in 18 games this season for the Spurs and he averaged 8.1 minutes, 2.9 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. He has shot 43.8% from the floor, 33.3% from the three point line and 53.8% from the free throw line. Johnson has played in 1 game for the Spurs and he played 4 minutes and scored 2 points.
