Alvin Robertson was a solid player at both ends of the basketball court for the San Antonio Spurs. He led the NBA in steals in both 1985-86 and 1986-87. Robertson played in 389 games (316 starts) in his five years with the Spurs and he averaged 32.2 minutes, 16.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.9 steals per game. His best season came back in 1987-88 for the Spurs, when he played in 82 games (all starts) in which he averaged 36.3 minutes, 19.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 3.0 steals per game. Robertson is still #3 in steals (1,128) and #9 in assists (2,094) in Spurs’ history.
