For some reason, the San Antonio Spurs have not been giving 36-year old center Pau Gasol a lot of P.T. or the basketball at the offensive side of the basketball court. It’s kind of puzzling to me. After all, Gasol was an All-Star last year for the Chicago Bulls! He played in 72 games (all starts) for the Bulls last year and he averaged 31.8 minutes, 16.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.0 blocked shots per game. But, so far this year, Gasol has played in 5 games (all starts) for the Spurs and he is averaging 23.6 minutes, 9.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 blocked shots per game. He is shooting 46.5% from the floor and 75% from the free throw line so far this year. The Spurs need to start rewarding Gasol with more P.T. and looks on offense, as he is making the most of his minutes so far this year, as he is rebounding and playing really good D!
